A lot of us have a new age problem that appears to have been accepted as norm. Addiction to the internet. We are constaly trawling sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc

Is this phenomenon creating a generation of anti-social couch potatoes? Kids spending more time indoors playing video games than they do playing outside. I can go on and on.

How can you know if you are an internet? I found these on the Evening Standard (UK newspaper).:

  • If you look at your favorite social network website more than 10 times a day and on each of those times up to an hour - you are an addict.
  • If you browse or check your social media account while you are driving - you are an addict - and stupid as well.
  • Do you feel bad when no one has re-tweeted or "liked" your entries on Facebook or twitter - you are an addict.
  • Do you get panic attacks or get angry when your favorite social network site is down (not working) - you are an addict.

These are but a few points. Am sure there are other indicators to warn you of an over indulgence on on the internet. Get out and have some exercise.

If you spend up to 4 to 5 hours a day on the internet - and its not a job, then you are addicted.
